TALK, TEXT and TOOLS (3T) is a network of researchers interested in how language, both spoken and written, enacts social and cultural perspectives and identities. The network gatheres Scandinavian researchers from different disciplines and traditions as Caring, Social work, Sociology, Social psychology, Health care pedagogics and Linguistics. The networks intention is to develop skills and methods of research focusing on different types of challenges for communication between citizens, professionals and organizations in the Scandinavian welfare states

COMET 2020 is cancelled in its physical format
In light of the continuing uncertainties regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, COMET 2020 will not go ahead as scheduled. Regrettably, the event in its physical format stands cancelled. For an alternative plan, click here.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS
We are pleased to announce the call for proposals for the 18th International Conference on Communication, Medicine, and Ethics (COMET), which will be hosted by Aalborg University, Denmark, 01-03 July 2020. The Pre-COMET Masterclass is scheduled for 30 June 2020.
The COMET conference aims to bring together scholars from different disciplinary backgrounds involving various healthcare specialties and the human and social sciences. A special emphasis is on the dissemination of ongoing research in language/discourse/communication studies in relation to healthcare education, patient participation and professional ethics.
Proposals include panels, individual presentations (oral or poster) and work-in-progress roundtables.
The submission for proposals opens on 18 November 2019. All proposals must be submitted by Wednesday 08 January 2020.
COMET 2020 will feature the following plenary speakers:
- Richard Ashcroft (City, University of London, UK)
- Jerome Groopman and Pamela Hartzband (Harvard Medical School, USA)
- Lorelei Lingard (Western University, Canada)
