TALK, TEXT and TOOLS (3T) is a network of researchers interested in how language, both spoken and written, enacts social and cultural perspectives and identities. The network gatheres Scandinavian researchers from different disciplines and traditions as Caring, Social work, Sociology, Social psychology, Health care pedagogics and Linguistics. The networks intention is to develop skills and methods of research focusing on different types of challenges for communication between citizens, professionals and organizations in the Scandinavian welfare states

2019 COMET CONFERENCE - CALL FOR PROPOSALS DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL JANUARY 10
The 17th International Conference on Communication, Medicine, and Ethics (COMET) will be hosted by the University of South Australia, Adelaide, Australia, 26-28 June 2019. The Pre-COMET Masterclass is scheduled for 25 June 2019.
The COMET conference aims to bring together scholars from different disciplinary backgrounds involving diverse healthcare specialties and the human and social sciences. A special emphasis is on the dissemination of ongoing research in language/discourse/communication studies in relation to healthcare education, patient participation and professional ethics.
All proposals must be submitted by 10 January 2019.
Danish Institute of Humanities and Medicine (DIHM) will be running the following courses during August 2018:
WORKSHOP ON PUBLISHING IN INTERNATIONAL JOURNALS

5th DIHM Summer School on ‘ANALYSING COMMUNICATION IN HEALTHCARE SETTINGS

Both courses are led by Professor Srikant Sarangi and are free of charge (daily lunches, coffee/tea, fruits and snacks included).
