TALK, TEXT and TOOLS (3T) is a network of researchers interested in how language, both spoken and written, enacts social and cultural perspectives and identities. The network gatheres Scandinavian researchers from different disciplines and traditions as Caring, Social work, Sociology, Social psychology, Health care pedagogics and Linguistics. The networks intention is to develop skills and methods of research focusing on different types of challenges for communication between citizens, professionals and organizations in the Scandinavian welfare states

Comet 2018 25-27 June. The University of Birmingham are pleased to be hosting the 2018 Communication, Medicine, and Ethics Conference (COMET).
The conference aims to bring together scholars from different disciplinary backgrounds, involving various healthcare specialties and the human and social sciences. A special emphasis will be on the dissemination of ongoing research in language/discourse/communication studies in relation to healthcare education, patient participation and professional ethics.

DIHM Summer School on ‘Analysing Communication in Healthcare Settings’

Danish Institute of Humanities and Medicine is proud to announce the 4th DIHM Summer School on ‘Analysing Communication in Healthcare Settings’, once again led by Professor Srikant Sarangi.
