General sociology

There are two seminars under general sociology. One of them is Panoptikon. Panoptikon is a working seminar in general sociology and sociological social psychology. Researchers and PhD. students present and discuss their own texts as well as other theoretical texts. Panoptikon yearly organizes a seminar where the new Ph.D. students present their dissertation plans.

The other is the higher seminar. This seminar plays a formal role in the post graduate program, since it is compulsory for Ph. D. students to present their doctoral dissertations twice in the seminar: for the first time after two years' work and for the second time a full manuscript before submitting their final thesis to the official examination committee nominated by the Faculty. This is an open seminar.
