Staff Meeting

The Staff meeting at the Department of Sociology is a forum for the staff as a whole. The Head of Department is chair of the meeting. The meeting is primarily used for information, mostly from the head of department, but it is also used for discussions of common interest to all staff members. The Staff meeting has no mandate for decision making, but the information and following discussions is vital for establishing acceptance of decisions that may be of importance to all categories of staff members.
